USA Cycling names team for Continental Mountain Bike Championships

USA Cycling announced today the 21 riders named to the U.S. squad for the upcoming Pan American Continental Mountain Bike Championships in Guatemala City, Guatemala, April 9-11. The U.S. contingent will compete in the men's and women's cross country, downhill, and four-cross competitions in Guatemala.
Venue, date change announced for 24-Hour Mountain Bike Nationals

USA Cycling announced today a change in the dates and venue for the 2010 USA Cycling 24-Hour Mountain Bike National Championships. The event will now return to Moab, Utah for 2010, to be held in conjunction with the 24-Hours of Moab event, October 9-10. The USA Cycling 24-Hour Mountain Bike National Championships were originally scheduled to take place alongside the 24-Hours of Big Bear in West Virginia, June 12-13. However, due to financial concerns, the West Virginia event has been cancelled.
Twelve U.S. teams registered as UCI Mountain Bike Teams for 2010

Mountain bike racing is getting underway around the world, and a record 107 teams have registered as UCI Mountain Bike Teams for thee 2010 season. The United States has the third highest number of UCI teams with 12, compared to the 14 Italian and 15 French squads. For U.S.-based pro teams that are not registered with the UCI, registration as a USA Cycling Mountain Bike Domestic Pro Team is required in order to be tabulated into the Pro XCT Team Rankings.
Plews, Borelli lead Ultra-Endurance standings after 2 events

The second event on the 2010 USA Cycling Mountain Bike National Ultra-Endurance Calendar, the Spa City 6-Hour Mountain Bike Race, took place over the weekend in Hot Springs, Ark. Evan Plews and Rebecca Rusch picked up victories. After two events, Plews and Rita Borelli lead the elite men's and women's standings.
USA Cycling announces 2010 Professional MTB Gravity Tour

USA Cycling announced today the 2010 USA Cycling Professional Mountain Bike Gravity Tour (ProGRT). In its second year, the five-race series will continue to raise the level of competitive gravity racing across the Unied States by providing a consistent stage of international-caliber events for elite gravity racers to showcase their downhill skills. The leader of the Pro GRT overall rankings as of July 14, 2010 will also be an automatic selection to the United States World Championship team.

The 2010 USA Cycling Mountain Bike National Ultra-Endurance Calendar kicks off this Saturday, February 20, in Ocala, Fla. with the 12-Hours of Santos. The first of five rounds in the nation's premier ultra-endurance series, the 12-Hours of Santos will attract top-level endurance off-roaders from around the world, and will feature a $2,000 pro purse and over $5,000 worth of prizes.

Registration for the USA Cycling Mountain Bike Marathon National Championships will open Wednesday, February 17. The Fourth of July event returns to Breckenridge, Colo. for 2010 where it will once again be held in conjunction with the andquot;Firecracker 50.andquot; Riders wishing to compete in the USA Cycling national championship classes will have a two-week exclusive online registration period from Wednesday, February 17 until Wednesday, March 3.

USA Cycling announced today the dates and venues for its 2010 American Mountain Bike Challenge (AMBC). All AMBC events will serve as qualifiers for the USA Cycling Mountain Bike National Championships which are slated for July 15-18 in Granby, Colo. Entering its 14th year in 2010, the 21-race AMBC series will visit 16 states over a period of seven months.
